We are looking for a dedicated Field Surveyor / Construction Inspector to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, particularly in municipal infrastructure, and will be responsible for ensuring the accurate execution of construction projects. This role involves overseeing field activities, conducting surveys, and ensuring that construction work meets all regulatory requirements and technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct field surveys for municipal infrastructure projects including drainage systems, water mains, sewers, roads, and site development.
• Perform construction inspections to ensure compliance with engineering plans, specifications, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with project teams to review and resolve construction challenges, ensuring that projects stay on track and within budget.
• Monitor construction activities to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist with the drafting and design tasks as needed to advance projects from concept through design and construction phases.
• Provide accurate field data and documentation to support project management and client reporting.
• Maintain a strong understanding of municipal engineering practices and apply this knowledge to ensure effective project execution.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to promote collaboration and problem-solving.

Qualifications:

• A diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field.
• Strong knowledge of municipal infrastructure, including drainage, water, sewer, and road systems.
• Previous experience in construction inspection, field surveying, or related roles is an asset.
• Proficient in using survey equipment, construction drawings, and relevant software.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to identify and resolve construction challenges on-site with attention to detail.
